Breeze Airways Expands Flight Options to Pawleys Island Area

A new airline is now offering even more direct flights to the Pawleys Island area, so even more people can enjoy the beauty and history of America’s oldest seaside resort.

The Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), which is the closest major airport to Pawleys Island, has announced the expansion of flights by Breeze Airways, one of the newest airlines to join the airport’s fast-growing list of carriers.

Breeze, known for its commitment to making travel simple, affordable, and enjoyable, will offer flight options for travelers coming to Georgetown County’s Hammock Coast and other local coastal areas.

Beginning in June, the airline will launch three new nonstop routes between MYR and Akron-Canton, Ohio; Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania; and Westchester County, New York. These new routes will bring Breeze Airways’ total number of destinations offered at MYR to seven, with flights also available to Charleston, West Virginia; Hartford, Connecticut; Providence, Rhode Island; and Tampa, Florida.

Beginning in February 2024, the airline launched twice weekly flights to and from Providence, Rhode Island. Starting May 2, Breeze will offer Thursday and Sunday flights between Hartford, Connecticut, and MYR. Additional twice-weekly flights to and from Tampa, Florida, and Charleston, West Virginia, will begin on May 10.
